Our church is more than a building, an organization, a man, or a Sunday. Gracepoint Fellowship is a community of people who are on the same life journey – a journey to know God.
(Who God Wants Us To Be)
To be a community of Christ followers who love God and love people.
(What God Wants Us To Do)
To share God’s love and make disciples
We believe that God loves all people and desires to have each of us as citizens of His Kingdom, and members of His family. It is our mission to assist people into Christ’s kingdom by showing them God’s love and forgiveness; by teaching them Jesus’ worthiness to be followed; and by accepting them into community. It is also our mission to encourage, exhort, and teach those who have accepted a place in the community of Christ followers as they journey through this life, growing in their friendship with God.
(The foundational principles that lead us to achieve our mission)
We strive to Honour God with every aspect of our lives, as we enjoy our city and its culture, as we laugh and eat good food with friends, and as we serve each other, our neighbors, and our Lord, Jesus.
“All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere heart, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
Christ followers should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous growth. We need to be real, honest, and accountable for who we are, while striving to be more like Jesus. At the same time we need to love, accept, and forgive others.
“Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.”
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
The Bible is God’s guidebook for purposeful, abundant living. It is also the final authority in matters of faith and practice.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness…”
2 Timothy 3:16
In a broken and fragmented world, we recognize our need for God’s grace, for His healing in our lives and relationships. At the same time, we recognize that every person needs to take responsibility for themselves – for their own growth, for their own actions. Only by doing this, and calling out to God, can we rise above our circumstances.
To live in community with Christ is to live generously. Followers of Jesus give of themselves and their resources to carry out the mission of God – who, Himself, has given so generously to us. This includes the practice of stewardship of time, talent and resources, and the pursuit of Kingdom goals.
“We are His workmanship created for good works in Christ Jesus.”
Recognizing that one of the greatest training grounds and battlefields of our faith in Christ is right within the home, we are committed to strengthening the spiritual lives of families as they seek to train their children and become beacons of light for Christ within our community.
